Okta SSO (Single Sign On)

You can use Okta SSO (Single Sign On) with LeaveWizard to make it easier for users to sign in.

Add The LeaveWizard App On Okta

Sign into Okta as an administrator and select ‘Applications’ from the ‘Applications’ option on the main menu. Click the ‘Browse App Catalog’ button.

Use the search box to find the pre-configured LeaveWizard app and click on it. Then click the ‘Add Integration’ button.

Edit the ‘Application label’ if you prefer a different name and click ‘Done’.

You have now added the LeaveWizard app to Okta.

Configure SAML authentication on LeaveWizard

To use SSO, you need to configure SAML authentication on LeaveWizard. If you have just added the LeaveWizard app to Okta, then select the ‘Sign On’ tab on the page. Otherwise, sign into Okta as an administrator and select ‘Applications’ from the ‘Applications’ option on the main menu. Click the LeaveWizard link in the list of active applications and select the ‘Sign On’ tab. In the ‘Settings’, ‘Sign on methods’, ‘SAML 2.0’ section, click ‘More details’.

Keep your Okta browser page open. Now, sign into LeaveWizard as an administrator and select company settings from the configuration option on the main menu. Navigate to the authentication section and click the ‘Configure’ button.

On Okta, using the link, copy ‘Issuer’ from the ‘Sign On’ page and paste it into the ‘Issuer Name’ field of the ‘Configure SAML authentication’ section of LeaveWizard.

On Okta, using the link, copy ‘Metadata URL’ from the ‘Sign On’ page and paste it into the ‘Metadata Location’ field of the ‘Configure SAML authentication’ section of LeaveWizard.

Click ‘Submit’ to complete the configuration.

Login And Test

If you want to test SSO, you will need to add a user and assign them to the LeaveWizard app on Okta. You can add users from the Okta ‘Directory’ menu. Select the ‘People’ option and then select ‘Add person’ on the page. To assign a user to the LeaveWizard app, select a user listed on the page. Then click the ‘Assign Applications’ button on the ‘Applications’ tab of their user page and select the LeaveWizard app. Please refer to the Okta Docs Assign applications to users article for more information.
